Very cool halloween costume ideas for infants
Halloween costumes for infants can be found anywhere. They can be in your local Halloween store, toy store, or you could search online for ideas. Also, you could make your original costume and be spontaneous and come up with something for your baby by yourself. There is no criteria in judging your infants Halloween costumes, so take it into your own hands and come up with the idea that’s most rewarding to you and your family.
One thing to consider in your infant Halloween costumes is to use your infant as an accessory or not. It doesn’t literally mean to attach your baby to you, but rather to make your costumes complimentary. In previous Halloween party, someone went as a giant mushroom while his oldest girl (about five years old) dressed up as Alice in Wonderland. Perfectly complementary, isn’t it? However, they needed to come up some idea for his younger girl (eight months old). Since their theme is based on Alice in Wonderland, their youngest girl dressed up Cheshire Cat. He could also have gone with the Hooka-Smoking-Caterpillar of the story, though that would have involved a much more complex costume that would probably have come apart as the night went on.
This scenario gives us two main concerns; when it comes to Halloween costumes for infants, the simpler, the better. At this stage, infants can grab, pull, and rip anything they can get in their hands on. Complex costume is not an exception to this. So if you don’t like to see your masterpiece being undone by just a matter of minutes, cut your losses and go with a minimalist approach.
I saw this idea put to good use a few years back at a party when a friend of mine showed up with her newborn. She was a martini glass, and her son was an olive. It worked perfectly and hilariously, and while it may not have been the best costume of the night it was certainly up there.
It is not necessary that your Halloween costume for infants to be in group costume events, considering that your infant will least likely to remember what you did or didn’t dress them as. However, coming up with a theme that the whole group can enjoy will be a good idea. Plus, in the future, you can show them pictures of when you dressed them as an olive. Any parent should enjoy the chance to do that!
